September 14, 2007 :
1) New water-soluble chewing gum.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports on the new gum.

When put in a test tube of water, the new gum - nicknamed Clean Gum or
Rev 7 - dissolves, whereas conventional gum still persists as a "cud".

  ...

The gum has been successfully washed out of hair but it is not a total
success, with cotton and leather shoes still a problem.

  ...

In the two trials, on four kinds of paving stones, leading commercial
gums remained stuck to the pavements three out of four times. In all
tests the Revolymer gum was removed within 24 hours by natural events.
