1) It seems that incompetent managers tend to hire incompetent employees.

http://money.canoe.ca/Rogers/Macleans/2007/11/14/pf-4658505.html reads:

[M]anagers who feel they aren't good at their jobs tend to surround
themselves with less competent employees. Researchers at the University
of Granada in Spain and University of Lovaina in Belgium suggest insecure
bosses do so in order to "try to prevent subordinates from becoming
  competition for them."

  ...

Studies have found anywhere between one-quarter and 75 per cent of
employees think that they could do a better job than their bosses. But if
those same bosses hired them, maybe grumbling employees should ask
themselves why they're there in the first place.

2) How many sugar cubes are in a can of cola?

I took a can of Coke out of the fridge at work and checked the label. It
contains 42 grams of sugar. A cube of sugar weighs 4 grams. That means
the can contains 10.5 cubes worth of sugar. Just imagine putting 10 cubes
of sugar in your morning coffee. I checked a can of Pepsi and found 41
grams of sugar.

3) Ten universities with free online science course content.

The list is at:
