1) The colour of one dinosaur has been determined.

National Geographic reports pigments have been found in fossil dinosaurs.

2) Link between Alzheimer's disease and Down syndrome.

physorg.com is reporting that people with Alzheimer's disease have trisomy 21
in some of their cells.  All of the cells in people with Down syndrome have
trisomy 21.

3) 400 years (and 3 weeks) since Galileo documented the position of Jupiter's moons.

Wolfram Alpha noted Jan 7th marked 400 years from when Galileo drew pictures
of Jupiter and it's moons.
